ES: Artista y Curadorx. Doce veces Premio Nacional de Teatro/Escénicas en Bolivia, Premio a la Trayectoria -Festival Internacional de Teatro de Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia); únicx bolivianx elegidx como ARTISTA RESIDENTE DE LA REAL ACADEMIA DE ESPAÑA – RAER (2021-22); además de haber recibido DOS VECES LA MEDALLA DE HONOR DE LA ASAMBLEA LEGISLATIVA PLURINACIONAL DE BOLIVIA por su aporte a la cultura nacional.
Su trabajo internacional también le valió varios reconocimientos. Entre éstos, en Argentina, “La Librería” fue Premio Mayor, Premios Gran Teatro del Mundo 2011 en Córdoba, y su “Hamlet de Los Andes” recibió el Premio Mayor a la Mejor Obra Extranjera presentada en ese país, Premios Gran Teatro del Mundo 2014.
Primerx directorx que desarrolló y ejerce su carrera en Bolivia en ser invitadx a dirigir en teatros oficiales de primer nivel (Canadá, Argentina, Ecuador, Rumania, etc.), así como a participar en festivales de nuevas propuestas dramatúrgicas del mundo (Mousson d’Été de 2010, Francia, con «Fragmentos Líquidos»).
A parte del trabajo con su compañía, Kiknteatr, en Bolivia, donde además promueve actividades pedagógicas y de gestión para fortalecer la práctica escénica, los textos de Diego se han montado en distintos países y se tradujeron a varios idiomas.
Su trabajo abarca tres líneas principales: creaciones interdisciplinarias, proyectos liminales (intervenciones socio-políticas desde el arte), y escenificaciones de gran formato.

Twelve times National Theater Award in Bolivia, Lifetime Achievement Award -Santa Cruz International Theater Festival 2013, Bolivia; only Bolivian selected as RESIDENT ARTIST OF THE REAL ACADEMIA DE ESPAÑA – RAER (2021-22), in addition to having twice received the MEDAL OF HONOR FROM THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF BOLIVIA after Aramburo’s contribution to national culture.
Their international work also earned him several awards. Among these, in Argentina, «La Librería» was the Major Prize, Gran Teatro del Mundo Awards 2011 in Córdoba, and «Hamlet de Los Andes» received the Mayor Prize for Best Foreign Work presented in that country, Gran Teatro del Mundo Awards 2014.
